Like many parents, I appreciate parenting accessories that don’t advertise the fact that I am knee deep in caring for someone else. That’s why I only needed to take one look at the Scribble Diaper Bag (also known as style or model number 11674) to understand why it is so highly sought after. Although it is more colorful and whimsical in design than what you may picture when you think of Coach, I’ve seen it on many playgrounds. I believe this is because it is arguably a beautifully functional piece. I personally love the many colors that make up the unique design and intend to gift my sister in law with her own.
Classy Recognizable Design: In terms of appearance, this piece is streamlined and covered in Coach’s well known multicolored “C dual circles” in shades of pink, blue, green and orange. This bag is considered unisex and I would think it would appeal to parents and caregivers of both baby boys and baby girls.
The Scribble showcases the popular, understated, classy brand design that is more typical of a high end handbag than a multipurpose diaper bag. Most people have to look twice to believe this piece is intended for parental use. I think this contributes to its popularity. The 11674 is very generous in size at 15.5 inches in length, 11 inches high, and 6.25 inches deep.
The exterior is made of water and stain resistant cotton, but all trim is top grain leather. There is also a zip top closure with a leather tassel pull and pink hang tag on the front. The bag has both long, webbed shoulder straps as well as drop hand grips available.
Organizational Options: Many of the features that make this a very functional diaper bag are in the interior. The inside is fully lined with heavy duty tan faille fabric which makes for easy clean up. There are several varying interior pockets, including one oversized zippered option and two cell phone / toy pockets. There is also a D-ring on which you can clip keys, pacifiers or toys.
Pricing: The price on this authentic unit varies greatly depending on where you get it. It typically ranges from just over $100 to well over $200.
