Festival footwear has just got chicer with the collaboration of Jimmy Choo and Hunters creating the most luxurious Wellington boots around.
This company was launched in 1996 by Tamara Mellon, Accessories Editor at British Vogue realised the potential demand for stylish but wearable shoes. Tamara partnered with Mr Jimmy Choo to start the ready-to-wear shoe company and opened the first stand alone boutique on Motcomb Street, London along with a strong wholesale business.
Sparking an immediate success amongst young Hollywood, this new brand became synonymous with the ‘red carpet’ shoe of choice for Oscar winners such as Cate Blanchett, Halle Berry, Hilary Swank and many other Hollywood actresses.
Embracing the great outdoors Hunter Wellington Boots’ outstanding performance, durability and comfort has become legendary, with a dedicated following worldwide embracing everyone from farmers to rock stars to the British Royal Family. They were originally designed for walking in Scotland’s rugged terrain and combating its unpredictable weather. Now they are heading for the red carpet.
There collaboration has created a Welly Embossed with signature Jimmy Choo crocodile print and branded top bind. A leopard print lining provides a contrast against the black glossy rubber, the boots have a unique identification plate, uniting the logos of these two iconic British brands.
The Jimmy Choo philosophy is to create exclusive shoes and accessories that are both luxurious and practical whilst creating a look recognised as “Jimmy Choo”. They have managed to produce a sleek interpretation of this British Classic.
Today, Jimmy Choo tomorrow who knows what Hunter will think of next, but I have to say I can’t wait!
