How to clean my Signature stripe Coach bag?
I have a medium sized Signature Stripe Reversible Coach bag that is in dire need of cleaning. There are unfortunate black and blue ink stains on the insides plus some pencil marks, and on the outside there are light marks.
I was told that Coach doesn’t offer cleaning products for this particular purse, so is there anything else I can do? I need to get the stains out before my mom realizes I kind of ruined an expensive bag.
No, the bag is mine but she’s the one who paid hundreds for it. She knows the bag needs cleaning but she doesn’t know just how bad the damage really is.
I tried spraying a little hair spray on a Q-tip and dapping at a stain but it only made it spread, so I know hair spray doesn’t work (I found that one some forums).
if hair spray made it spread, it will remove it… apply with a cotton ball, blot don’t wipe, then use a wet cold wash cloth to get rid of the hair spray.. alternate the hair spray and the cold water.
To clean the bag, mix 1 gallon of cool water, 2 table spoons of laundry detergent and 1 table spoon of baking soda. Use a fluffy wash cloth and wring all the excess water out, and wash the bag going in circles, until it looks clean. Be gentle, don’t scrub. To rinse get a bath towel very damp but not dripping and wrap up the bag, stuff the sides of the towel in the bag… if its a small bag use a hand towel or dish towel… leave it wrapped for 15 minutes, then sit it or hang somewhere cool to dry, just make sure its away from any heating vents.
OOOooor you could put it in between two outfits that need to go to the cleaners and hope she don’t notice!
