The famous fashion houses press forward to release their 2008 Fall/Winter collections. Now let’s have a look at the Burberry Prorsum A/W09 collection. As its creative director, Christopher Bailey said, “The season is about reinvention – redefining and re-modernizing the core of what Burberry stands for with our authentic British spirit and point of view.” Bailey harkens has come back to the historically English brand’s heritage as an outerwear house and brought the trench to the forefront once again for fall. On the basis of trenchcoats being the base of the collection, the materials such as disheveled velvet has been introduced and the classic lines have been adjusted to needs of young and sophisticated buyer. Of course, the accessories should harmoniously match with the outfits, so the collection also contains a lot of handbags featuring on the A/W09 Women Prorsum runway.
Burberry Corded Check Suede Hobo Bag is a typical example. It is crafted in suede leather with belted top, smooth leather trims and cord threads woven into the body of the bag to create a check pattern. The whole design is executed as a somber, traditional approach to understated luxury. Self fabric belt around top with smooth leather belt loops creates more amorous feelings. Thanks to the distinctive contrast color rolled leather handle with branded metallic buckle attachments and large leather stitch detailing, the hobo can be comfortably carried in the hand or across the arm. Open from the top zip closure, you can see the iconic vintage check cotton lining. One interior zip pocket and three interior patch pockets are ingeniously designed for holding and separating your small accessories. Measured at 42 x 42 x 20cm, it provides the ample capacity for everyday use. The leather base gives extra protection for the bottom of the bag.
This hobo is available in two colors, dark burgundy and smog. You can match it with Burberry leather bracelet, suede lace-up platform sandal and metallic acorn long necklace. I bet combination of those Burberry products would give you a unique and luxury appearance.
