Finally! There are many beautiful briefcases available for women. While women once had to settle for black cases only, they are now available in every color and style. Companies like Lodis, Dilana and Jack Georges are making these briefcases in a huge array of leather colors and styles. Some of the cases have short shoulder straps so you can slip it on your shoulder or just carry the case. Other cases have removable shoulder straps that can be worn across your body for ease in carrying. Remember to lift the case and try your belongs inside the case. You want it to be comfortable. These cases last a long time, so you want to get it right to start. While there are cases available in fabrics, the leather is your best bet for durability. Look for outside compartments as well as interior pockets. You want to have a place for pens, business cards, cell phones and PDA’s. It’s also nice to have an inside zipper where you can hide a small wallet. On the outside pocket, you can put one of the handiest travel accessories, the lightweight umbrella.
Some of the zippered cases will have hidden expansion for times when you need a roomier case. Some of the messenger styles are soft enough that you can stretch to add just one more paper. Some of the models will stand up on their own, while the softer models do not. Try your papers and necessary items in the case. There are models available with a slide on feature to hook over the handle of your discount luggage. If you are using bag when you travel, this is a very important feature. If you are carrying a heavy load of papers, you may be more comfortable with the ergonomic shoulder strap. These are shaped for your shoulder and distribute the weight better. Ladies briefcases come in beautiful, luxurious leathers. You may just fall in love with more than one case. Try to get different styles that will accommodate all your needs. The better cases will last for years and years of service.
Cases are also available with wheels for times when you’re carrying too much weight to carry. There are models with removable wheels and there are many styles in these wheeled briefs. Vera Bradley just came out with a fabric wheeled brief with a removable matching laptop or carry bag that can be carried separately. These are available in the signature black quilted fabric with a green plaid lining. Every compartment is lined with the quilted fabric. Dilana makes a leather wheeled case in red or black leather. This is very elegant and has wonderful organization inside. There are pen loops, business card pockets and areas for your cell phone, PDA and other necessities. It will also attache to your lightweight luggage by a special feature on the back of the case and slip over the pull handle. Many of these wheeled cases have laptop compartments inside. They also have inside zippered pockets where you can slip a wallet or travel documents.
Laptop briefcases are also being made available especially for women. These come in the same large selection of leathers and colors. They will carry your laptop and your other necessary papers in one case. Popular as corporate gifts, they can be custom imprinted with company names or logos. All of these cases can also be individually monogrammed with the individual’s initials. Lots of these companies have also made matching ladies wallets and card cases that can be purchased with the briefcase. There are even elegant leather pad covers to match for those important business meetings. Ladies – these new briefcases for women only are pure pleasure!
